Blake, his friend Jacob, and I got home from our visit to Phoenix in the wee hours of the morning. The trip home was easy. We each stretched out in our own 3-seat row because the plane was only 1/4 full. Tony made the middle-of-the-night trip to get us, and I did my best to chat with him to keep him awake. Well maybe for 30 minutes!
I spent lots of time with Makenna. She is crawling, waving bye-bye, and clapping her hands. I can see lots of Chris in her....not only in how she looks, but also in her personality. She is on the move a lot, exploring and delighted with her little world most of the time. I was on the floor with her a lot. When we said goodbye at the airport, she looked at me with eyes that said, "Where are you going, now that we are good buds?" Well they will be here for a couple of days at Christmastime, so that's not so long. Chris and Maria enjoyed a couple of nights out while I was there. And I think the boys had some fun too.
The third November event in two weeks will be a trip to Owensboro, Kentucky, for a Haycraft cousins family dinner at the Moonlite Restaurant. I leave for that on Friday. I am glad to be riding in a comfortable van with several family members. Hope our Kentucky cousins are all there. They are fun.
After that, I have few things going on until Christmas. I need that!
