Tonight the simple act of rocking a baby to sleep brought great peace to my heart. I could say, "Enjoy the simple pleasures." Or "What a miracle God gives us in a baby." But mostly I recognize #3 as Hug all the babies you can. And children. And siblings. And spouses. And parents. Share God's love with everyone. Now. That is why God Our Father sent his Son to us. To show us how to live and love fully! Which brings me to #4. Peace on earth, good will toward all. As Ghandi instructed, "Be the change you wish to see in the world."
It's Christmas Eve, and I wonder in the wee hours of the morning what role if any the weather will play in our plans to celebrate Jesus' coming. Before bed tonight we talked and decided nobody would put their family's life at risk by trying to travel in an ice storm. So my prayer this morning is that the temperature stays above 32 so we can travel to Jacksonville to share our joy on Christmas Eve.
