Waiting for the snow to blast us here....it is so cold....I can't remember this much cold in December in recent memory. All those woolly worms we saw this fall on our sidewalk were trying to tell us something!

I did receive some photos and a quick note from Stephanie a few days ago. She is on her way with her husband to Alaska. They were visiting Mount Rushmore and had some great pictures of the place. I am wondering now if they have arrived yet to their home. Steph, if you are reading this blog yet, send me a quick note to let me know you have arrived safely!

Mom is home from the hospital. She is still having some problems with nausea, but her voice sounds stronger each day. Sadly, a couple of caretakers now have the bug. Prayers for their speedy recovery.

If the weather allows it, I will go to Carrie's tomorrow morning and load up a couple of kids and take them to McD's. We didn't get to take our usual Monday trip because my good friend Donna Robson was here for lunch. She and Bill now live in St. Peter's where Bill is working, and Donna is hopeful for a new job there. It was so good to see her. We were regular lunch pals a few years back when the boys were in high school. Then they moved to Evansville for Bill's work, and I was sad for my loss. Well St. Peter's is only 2 hours away. So now Mario and I have a place to land in St. Louis! So tomorrow will be McD's day if we can manuever about, depends on the weather. It is good for the kids to get out and release some of that energy, and we have a good play place for that. I will buy the fries:o)

(PS Steph gave me the snowman above. It is very pretty when I light the candle inside.)
