Carolyn's Monday Report
The ISD group met with the legislators from Illinois this morning and Carolyn was able to get another ten tickets so all in their group could be at the Inauguration tomorrow. They saw all the Memorials today; she thought they walked 25 miles to get to the Lincoln Memorial! The crowds are huge, but friendly, and so far no problems other than being caught at Union Station with 50,000 being evacuated out of only 2 doors in an hour...a little scary and with God's blessings nobody stampeded. They are on the bus back to the University now, very hungry and enjoying sandwiches and chips, and it has been another great day for the group. The staff gave their ISD scarves to the legislators, which seemed to be a meaningful exchange, and they were seen wearing them. Watch for bright orange hats and scarves tomorrow!
