When I got my pictures developed, I found that I did have one photo of the kids that included Ryan. Somehow I missed seeing this one for my earlier postings. Have to make sure all the kids' pics are on the blog!!!
I had a good day Friday in Jacksonville. Went to lunch with Mom, Paige, Marty, and Sam, then drove to Springfield and dropped off another trunkful of Christmas decorations that I am parting with. Kathy has a lot of 20-somethings that work for her who can use Christmas decorations, so Carolyn, Kathy, and I have cleared out many boxes and bags of usable items that will surely be festive in others' homes. I'd love to see the scene when she sets everything out for them and invites them to have at it.
Saturday, we celebrated birthdays at O'Charley's in Springfield. Carolyn's birthday was Friday, and mine is next Saturday. We all had a great time, told some good stories, and both of us got some nice birthday presents that we were not expecting :o) Fun, fun, fun.
John drove me back Saturday night. Today we had a "Why Catholic" gathering with all the parish. The cafeteria was full. Our leader, Fr. John, told us that we are a pastor's dream come true. Well I was invited to be one of two speakers to share with the group what our "Why Catholic" gatherings have meant so far. It went well. Fr. John gave me a good "atta girl" whack on the back as I was leaving, so I think I summed things up pretty well. I can always get in front of a group and talk.
Tonight I watched the Golden Globes. I don't know the back story on Mickey Rourke....I am guessing he was heavy into drugs as he talked about the people who were willing to take a risk with him. Well he was sincere and entertaining, even if his language was a little strong for network TV, and they showed somebody joyfully flipping him off. Haven't seen that on NBC before. The dresses were gorgeous. I love it when fashion returns to pretty colors and attractive styles. Salma Hayek won my prize.
Tomorrow I will take Nolan and one of the daycare boys to Burger King for lunch and to play with Judy's granddaughter Katie. Better get myself to bed. Goodnight.

Yes, we wouldn't want to forget Ryan running around in his undershirt all night!
