One More Round of Christmas Photos....Christmas Eve Eve at the Camachos

Carrie reminded me that when I put the stories and pictures on the blog, we have recorded our family's history in a way. So I decided I should post the beginning of our family Christmas on December 23rd in Quincy. Makenna opened the first present....a bathtub toy with Pooh figures that just fit her little hands.
Blake's present from us was a little unusual....he chose it....it is a 3-D picture of Bob Marley playing his guitar. A very cool picture I must say. Blake was surprised to find out that I have a Bob Marley CD, though it doesn't include "I Shot the Sheriff," which seems to be the song his generation knows.

Cora and Hannah got a couple of gifts to share--to do their art projects here at Grandma's. New markers, glitter glue (Cora's favorite), pipe cleaners, things like that. They create some amazing things in the art center downstairs.

I believe Blake is opening his new phone here.

I am still hoping to instill the love of music, so more instruments. We do have a new band member in the crew.

Makenna got some new clothes from Aunt Carrie and Uncle Tony.

Here is a great photo of the Dede concentration....I cannot recall what this electronic toy is, but both girls got them and will have something to entertain them on those long soccer road trips.

I think Makenna is checking out Nolan's gift from Chris and Maria....a gorilla that will keep him engaged for hours.

Taking a break. Makenna is wearing an outfit we gave her for her first birthday. Fits her perfectly!

Nolan and the gorilla....he wanted to take it out of the box and play with it, but Tony said no we are taking it home in the box and you can play with it there.
So he took the livestock truck we gave him, which was loaded with cows and pigs I think, tossed it on Carrie, and said, "Here, you take this." And he grabbed his gorilla box and said he was going home.

But not before the Christmas concert was completed. Former high school drum major Tony hauled out his trumpet and played a tune with Cora, who just performed in her first concert at Baldwin school.
Cora played a fairly recognizable rendition of Jingle Bells. I predict she will be an awesome flute player.

We decided the triangle was the perfect instrument for Hannah to play. She played it well.

Nolan decided to play the maracas with the Dede band, but he got underneath the dining room table to do it.

We wish you a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year! From our house to your house.
