The Ice Storm Cometh

We are in the midst of an ice storm. I can see 3 inch long icicles hanging of the deck railing. I don't know how long this is going to last, but right now, it is good to be inside and warm.

Stephanie is in Anchorage; got an email from her this evening. Will keep you posted on her travels. There may be a change in address....not sure yet.

Today is Eddie's 57th birthday. For 30 days, we are the same age, although I do believe I look just a little older! He had a good birthday steak dinner at Outback. Happy birthday, bro.

I spent this evening cleaning out the jewelry boxes and a couple of drawers. Did a little pitchin' and tossin', something that is not easy for this packrat. I have belts from when I lived in Arizona in the 80's when my waist size was about 6 inches less than it is now. Why do I still have these belts? I do not know. They still have plenty of wear in them, so I will take them to the thrift shop and see if they can get a quarter for them :o)
Mario is now on vacation. He finished day 2 of exams today and seems content to think of doing nothing for the next couple of weeks. Of course he has to grade all those exams and turn in first semester grades in a few days.
Mom got her hair done today. Good sign that some normalcy has returned to her life after the flu hit so hard. Hope the bug is on outa there by this time next week.
I wrapped the last of the gifts tonight. Over the next couple of days I hope to do some baking. Might be stuck inside for awhile because of the weather.
